Imperial Electric & Lighting was established in 1973 by its founder Joseph "Gene" Morris. The company has emerged as a leader in the supply of wholesale electrical materials and decorative lighting products. In addition to providing the most comprehensive variety of electrical product lines, Imperial Electric & Lighting has focused its efforts on providing the finest service to their valuable customers and friends.

Jack Morris, president of the firm, took the helm of the company after the passing of his father in 1989. The company has evolved into a prestigious, reputable wholesale distributor serving the Southeast Florida distribution and lighting markets. Imperial Electric and Lighting's distribution network also provides national accounts with unique product requirements offering web order entry and electronic billing.

In 1991, the company headquarters was moved from its original location in Dania, Florida, to a newly designed facility in Davie. Imperial Electric & Lighting is conveniently located at I 595 and Nob Hill Road with an additional location in Delray. The Davie facility now includes a state-of-the-art, fully stocked lighting showroom for the benefit of both domestic and international customers. Imperial maintains a unique working relationship with designers, architects and builders serving the South Florida industries.

Imperial Electric & Lighting is an authorized distributor for recognized manufacturers such as: General Electric, Thomas & Betts, 3M, Oz / Gedney, Halo, Lightolier, Lithonia, Metalux, and other quality brands.
